26-03-2008: The curtain falls for the old beach mini club

To ensure that our guests in the rooms that were formerly known as the Premium rooms (without the Sea view extension) can also have an unobstructed view of the Beach and Sea, we have decided that the old Sweet Beach bar and mini club had to go. Most of it functions had been taken over by our new beach bar in the heart of the resort earlier this year, so recently it was mostly being used as a linnen / laundry room. Now that this place has been demolished and these cheaper Premium Room have actually become the rooms that offer the most privacy, as well as an excellent view, we will label them as Deluxe Sea View B-building rooms from now on, to indicate the equality, if not superiority, to our existing Deluxe Pool / Sea View rooms next door.

On the left the more modest but much more centrally located beach bar. The DJ and and dance floor were relocated to our Siam Hut bungalows, as those were no longer the best match with our guests.

And they tell us that Lonely Beach is no longer Lonely. This image was take on a very busy day in early March.

26-11-2007: Loy Kratong celebrations

The Loy krathong full moon festival was this year celebrated on November 25th.

During this festival it is tradition that people light candles and incense sticks on a "Kratong" and float that on a river or sea to get rid of the bad 'ballast'.

When lovers float their Krathongs and those float next to each other for a long time, then it means good luck and love for the happy couple. The safest way to avoid the risk of the krathongs floating in opposites directions is to share a single krathong, as demonstrated by our former hostess and her Thai fiancee.

26-10-2007: Premium Rooms are 99% completed!

After months of hard work, the moment has finally come: The New Premium Sea View rooms are ready!! We are only waiting for the personal safe and the DVD / stereo combo to arrive, before we can say that the Premium Sea View Rooms are 100% done. However, the first guests are currently enjoying the comforts and magnificent view that these Premium Sea View Rooms have to offer.

Several dozens of students applied for an internship at the Siam Beach Resort Koh Chang. Here are some of the successful applicants.

26-08-2007: Successful domestic Tourism fair in Bangkok

Siam Beach Resort's owner and some of his senior staff members are clearly pleased with the result of the twice yearly domestic tourism fair in the Queen Sirikit Convention Center in downtown Bangkok. Sales went well, so expect to see a few more Thai neighbors when you visit the resort. And remember: where there are Thais guests, the food most be excellent!
