The best Beach front hotel rooms on Lonely Beach, if not on the entire island of Ko Chang
Our Premium Sea View Beach Front hotel rooms
There are basically three types of Premium Sea View rooms in the Siam Beach Resort: the "regular" Premium Sea View hotel rooms that are well know and appreciated by nearly every type of guest, the "garden" rooms that tend to be more popular with romantic couples and others that value additional privacy and the connecting rooms for families or close friends. The interior and layout of the these rooms are virtually identical, beside the fact that the Premium Sea View Garden rooms only come with double beds. All three types of rooms come with the following:
Air Conditioning- Minibar / Refrigerator
- 29" TV with DVD player
- Spacious closet
- Personal safe
- Hairdryer
- a tea / coffee / noodle soup maker
- in-house phone
- Bathroom with warm water shower, separate toilet and wash up corner
- a large terrace with table and chairs
- all window wall facing the beach / sea
- a perfect beach and sea view
Both of these blocks of beach front buildings on Lonely Beach have only been completed late 2007. There are 2 floors with 2 rooms per building. The are just 3 of these buildings in the area designated as B buildings on the south side of the Siam Beach Resort, just passed the Deluxe Pool View rooms in the A buildings, 3 more buildings with inter connected rooms just north of the restaurants and lobby and 4 more buildings next to that leading up to the Pool Villa area.
The Premium Sea View rooms in the D Buildings
These Premium beach front rooms are sometimes also indicated as Deluxe D Rooms, because of their location in the buildings designated with "D". The fact that the word "Dee" stands for "good" in the Thai language is certainly no coincidence: apart from the more exclusive Pool Villas, these are often voted the best rooms on Lonely Beach, mainly because of their idyllic location right on the best stretch of the Lonely beach. From these rooms you step right onto the wide & white sand beach itself, without crossing even a footpath of any kind. The fact that we still receive inquiries nearly every day, asking us "How far is it to the beach from the Premium Sea View Rooms?" is a good indication that many people often just can't believe that it's possible to live and sleep on such a unique location on such a famous beach.
The connecting rooms with double interconnecting doors
The connecting premium sea view rooms in the suitably named C buildings all have an interconnecting (double) door which allows parents and children or close friends to be together during the day and evening, while still being able to get enough privacy if the need arises. As these rooms are mostly booked by families with children, one of these rooms has a double bed and the other two twin beds, with enough space for an extra bed in both rooms. Each room has the ability to close their own inner door whenever they wish to do so, so when the room isn't used in it's capacity as connecting room, both of these door are locked, ensuring maximum privacy and minimal sound pollution from the other room. The location of these rooms is the same as for the Premium Sea View rooms: just north of the Siam Beach Restaurants and Beach bar.
Their little brother: The Deluxe B Garden rooms
Actually the addition "Garden" isn't totally accurate as these maximum privacy hotel rooms are build just as much on Lonely beach as the other rooms are. However, due to the fact that we are part of a flood control / excess water management system which prevents flooding in the Lonely Beach area and jungle behind it, we were unable to build our south side hotel rooms on the softer beach ground, as it might endanger the banks of a small river that releases most of the rainwater from the forest / jungle into the sea during the monsoon season. For this reason, these B buildings are built more towards the back of the resort, about 15- 20 meters from the actual sand and a few meters elevated on mostly sand covered solid rock. To get to the "real beach" our guests have to cross a short bridge in front of these buildings or take a little detour around the back, which is the main reason why we sell these rooms at a slightly lower rate than the Premium Sea View rooms. However, many romantic couples and other guests that appreciate a bit extra privacy, have often indicated that they much prefer these Deluxe Garden View rooms over the "regular" Premium Sea View rooms that stand just above the beach level.
